Bengaluru: Actor Darshan’s bail plea in the Renukaswamy murder case was taken up for hearing today (Oct 28) in the Karnataka High Court. The hearing took place before a single-judge bench presided over by Justice S. Vishwajith Shetty.
The bail application was first heard on October 22 in the High Court, when it directed Ballari jail authorities to submit a medical report on Darshan’s health condition.
Today, Darshan’s legal team submitted the medical report to the judge, arguing in favor of bail for the actor. Jail officials presented a sealed copy of the report to the judge, following which the hearing was adjourned to Tuesday (Oct 29).
In response, Special Public Prosecutor Prasanna Kumar sought additional time to file objections against the bail request.
According to medical reports, Darshan suffers from severe back pain. An MRI scan conducted at the Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) in Ballari has indicated the need for surgery, as advised by doctors.
