Rescued elephant dies due to lack of treatment

Sakleshpur: The elephant which was rescued after two long days of rescue operation died on Thursday here at Kadagaravalli village in Hassan district.
An elephant had accidentally fallen into a slush pit at a coffee estate and was in the pit for three days. On Tuesday, November 27 Harsha and Vikram two tamed elephants of Dubare camp were brought to aid the rescue operation. The elephant was tied securely with belts and lifted out. Few hours later the elephant died informed sources.
The elephant died due to lack of treatment at the right time, informed sources.
