Retired BEML employee found dead under mysterious circumstances

Bengaluru: A retired employee of Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) who was staying alone at his home was found dead under mysterious circumstances.

The deceased has been identified as S Mahadevaiah (85).

As Mahadevaiah’s neighbors visited his house as they didn’t see him coming out, for days.

As there was no response to their knocks on the door, they peeped through the windows and found him lying dead in the bedroom. The body was found in a decomposed state

They immediately called the police, who later alerted Jayamma, his wife.

“I noticed a few valuables scattered inside the house. Property documents, gold jewelry, and cash are missing from the cupboard,” Jayamma was quoted speaking to Deccan Herald.

Police have booked a case of murder, based on a complaint filed by his wife Jayamma N, a retired bank manager.
