Retired officer of Syndicate Bank & MMNL K L Rao no more

Manipal: K L Rao (Karpe Laxminarayan Rao), a retired senior officer of Syndicate Bank and of Manipal Media Network Ltd. passed away at a private hospital in Mangalore on Friday, November 3.

A native of Karpe in Bantwala taluk of Dakshina Kannada, K.L. Rao was a teacher for ten years in the senior primary school founded by his father Krishnappa Nayak. Later, Rao joined Syndicate Bank as an employee and served at several locations including Manipal, Mangalore, Mumbai, Vijayawada etc., and retired as a Chief Clerk in the year 2000.

From 2001 to 2020, he served as Director (Corporate Affairs) of Manipal Media Network Ltd.

He later settled in Mangaluru with his family. He is survived by his wife, son and daughter.
