Retired professor Pattabhirama Somayaji passes away

Mangaluru: Retired professor of English at the Mangalore University College,  Prof H Pattabhirama Somayaji breathed his last on Saturday, July 1.

A noted thinker, Prof Somayaji retired in 2021 serving at the University College Mangaluru for almost two decades at the institution.

He had been known for his tough ideological stand on various social issues. “Differences are common, but human relations remain the same, ” he had famously said defending his views.
