Hassan: JD(S) leader and Holenarasipura MLA H D Revanna has accused Baguru Manjegowda, the leader of Karnataka State Government Employees’ Association and an officer of Transport department, of gathering wealth to the tune of Rs 500 crore to Rs 700 crore.

Speaking to the journalist  Revanna said, “The chief secretary is more than willing to acknowledge Manjegowda’s resignation in spite of him accumulating huge sums through illegal means.”

He asked the chief secretary to act sensibly and precisely on the resignationissue.

“Manjegowda is serving Badoota (a non-vegetarian spread) to the voters at a few places infringing upon the mode of conduct. But no case has been enrolled against him,” Revanna affirmed.

He requested the concerned authorities to book a criminal case against Manjegowda and arrest him.

“The JD(S) will field a fight in court if the CS acknowledges his (Manjegowda’s) resignation,” he cautioned.

Manjegowda has offered his resignation as the president of the state employees association and from his job with Transport department to challenge against Revanna in Holenarasipura constituency on Congress ticket.

To an inquiry on the revealed tiff between Hassan Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri and District Minister A Manju, Revanna stated, “DC Rohini Sindhuri is completing a honorable activity in guaranteeing a tranquil, free and reasonable election. But, the Congress leaders are attempting to wreck the administration by not giving the DC a chance to carry out her job.”
