Revanna appointed as the new Deputy Inspector General, Prisons

Bengaluru : H.S. Revanna has been appointed as the new Deputy Inspector General, Prisons at Parapana Agrahara Central Jail Bengaluru.
“Revanna of 2001 IPS batch is transferred with immediate effect and posted as DIG Prisons in Bengaluru from being DIG, Police Headquarters here,” a state Department of Personnel order said.
Revenna will also be the Chief Superintendent of Bengaluru Central Prison in place of Krishna Kumar.
The state government also transferred Director General, Prisons, H.N. Satyanarayana Rao without a fresh posting, as he is set to retire this month-end.
