Revanna defends HDK’s decision to introduce Eng medium in primary schools

Bengaluru:  PWD Minister HD Revanna defending Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy’s decision to introduce English medium education from primary classes in government schools on Monday, December 31 said that if our children can study in English medium schools the underprivileged children also have the right to study in English medium schools.

Following Siddaramaiah opposition to the government’s proposal to introduce English medium education from primary classes in government schools, Revanna defenced his brother Kumaraswamy. 

On December 27, Siddaramaiah had opposed Kumaraswamy’s move to offer English education in 1,000 government schools.

He also instructed Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy to take a suitable decision with regard to the opening one thousand English medium schools in the state. He advised Kumaraswamy to open one thousand English medium schools only after eliciting the opinion of scholars and educationists.

Congress-JDS coalition government would definitely complete its five years term. Former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa has been waiting for the coalition government to collapse for the last six months but it will never happen, he said.

Praising his father he said that It was his father, Former Prime Minister Deve Gowda who had who had given ZP president’s post to ST community and ensured 33 per cent reservation for women and 5 per cent for Muslims.
