Bengaluru: Minister of Revenue Department, R Ashoka stated that dwellers in almost 60 thousand houses built on government land in urban areas will be issued RTCs (Record of Tenancy, Crops and Cultivation) soon as per the provisions in Sections 94C and 94CC of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act.
The beneficiaries were selected from more than 2.5 lakhs applications received under 94CC. Out of the 6.15 lakhs application received under the 94C, 1.45 lakhs have been approved, he informed.
Under the scheme, beneficiaries will have to pay a nominal charge for the legalisation of the sites they have occupied.
Most of the beneficiaries are from the Dakshina Kannada, Bengaluru Urban and Ballari districts.
