Revenue officials raid illegal mining at Koyyuru

Belthnagady: Based on a complaint that illegal mining was being done on government land at Kulenjiroadi in Koyyuru village, the revenue officials under the leadership of revenue commissioner Ravikumar and village accountant Siddesh conducted a raid on the site.
The localities had given a complain that the accused Thomas, built a house here through 94C scheme, used chemicals to make powder out of the rock on the land in front of his house and consequently covering his house as well as the houses in the locality with rock powder, thereby causing trouble in the locality.
Based on the complaint of a local, a letter has been written to the mines and geology department for further investigation, informed tashildar Madan Mohan.
