Byndoor: At the times when sincerity and faithfulness are at the test, a humane act has come to light in the coastal town.
Auto-rickshaw driver, Anil Fernandes, had left a passenger and had returned to the auto stand. As he was cleaning the rickshaw he found a Karimani chain on the seat. Without much ado, Anil rushed to the Byndoor Police Station and informed the police of the missing chain. Anil had informed the police that he had dropped off a lady passenger at her destination, who had come from Bengaluru.
The police gathered information about the lady passenger and found that her name was Yashoda and had misplaced her chain which weighed 30 gm worth Rs 1.50 lakh. The lady who was called to the police station identified the chain. Later the chain was handed over to Yashoda.
