Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kantara’ wins big at Filmfare Awards South 2023

Bengaluru: The Kannada movie ‘Kantara,’ directed and acted by Rishab Shetty, released in 2022, has achieved another milestone by winning several awards at the Filmfare Awards South 2023.

Rishab Shetty’s film, in which he also played the lead role and wrote the story, successfully bagged six major awards at the prestigious Filmfare event.

The film won the award for Best Kannada Film, and Rishab Shetty was honored with the Best Kannada Actor award. B. Ajaneesh Loknath won the Best Music Album award, while Achyuth Kumar secured the Best Supporting Actor award. Saptami Gowda was awarded Best Kannada Actress.

Additionally, Sai Vighnesh won the Best Kannada Playback Singer award for the song ‘Varaha Roopam’. Filmfare congratulated the winners through a post on social media.
