Udupi: In a disturbing incident, three men reportedly assaulted and threatened a driver after blocking his car in Udupi.

Manoj, a resident of Sanoor, was driving a vehicle from Udupi’s Mahindra showroom to Karkala’s Mahindra showroom via the Manipal-Karkala route.

As he approached Bannanje, a WagonR car blocked his path. Three men got out of the WagonR, confronted Manoj, and yelled, “Can’t you see? You hit my car and moved ahead!” They used foul language and threatened him, saying, “If you talk too much, we won’t hesitate to kill you.”

The assailants then physically assaulted Manoj, with one of them hitting him on the back and legs with a wooden stick.

A case has been registered at the Udupi City Police Station.
