In a case of road rage, a woman allegedly assaulted a BMTC bus driver under Kamakshipalya Traffic Police Station limits.
The bus driver, identified as Amaresh, has filed a complaint against the woman, while the woman has also lodged a counter-complaint against the driver.
The incident occurred when the BMTC bus was heading from Jalahalli Cross towards K.R. Market at around the time it reached the Sumanahalli Bridge. The bus reportedly brushed against the bike, causing the woman to fall off. In a fit of rage, the woman got up, boarded the bus, and physically assaulted driver Amaresh.
Another person, whose identity is not yet confirmed, is also said to have joined in the assault on the driver. Following the attack, local residents intervened and handed the woman over to the police. Both the woman’s and the driver’s complaints have been registered, and the police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
