Road towards Kankanady Railway Station will be widened: JR Lobo

Mangaluru: The road towards Kankanady Railway Station will be widened at a cost of Rs 4.05 crore said MLA J R Lobo.

Lobo said that Rs 2.05 crore from the FAR (floor area ratio) of MCC and Rs 2 crore from the state PWD have been sanctioned for this work.

Lobo said the Mangaluru Junction Railway Station is very old and the road is congested. People have to either use their own transport or auto to reach there. If this road gets widened it will make it easier and convenient for the commuters.

Corporator Praveen Chandra Alva, MCC deputy commissioner (development) K S Lingegowda, joint director Jayaraj, town planning officer Balakrishna, and engineer Ganapati, local leaders Krithin Kumar, Dhanaraj and Anil were present.
