Karkala: Although the road between Banglegudde Junction to Bhavani Mill Junction has been upgraded into a four lane road, the work on the road divider is half done and appears to have stopped.

Altogether 13kms of the road has been asphalted from Ennehole to Pulkeri Junction while the road from Banglegudde to Bhavani Mill has been converted into a four lane road.

Though months have passed since the completion of the asphalting work, he work on the divider and other works have remained half done. Besides, no work has been done on the installation of street lamps and name boards.

Sarvajna circle

The work on the divider near Sarvajna Circle in Jayanti Nagar has remained half finished and is posing danger. Motorists are facing much trouble due to this. Therefore, the public has urged to complete the work at the earliest.

Public Works Department office lies nearby Sarvajna Circle. Then, hasn’t the unfinished work on the divider not come to the notice of the officials of the department? Or are the officials ignoring it? Is the question from the public.

Notice has been issued

“Even though the contractors are insisting that they will finish the work they have not finished it. Therefore the contractors have been issued a notice. If the work is not completed soon, further action will be initiated,” informed H K Sunder, AEE, Public Works Department, Karkala
