Roads blocked, schools shut over DK Shivakumar arrest

Bengaluru: Protests after the arrest of Congress strongman DK Shivakumar by the Enforcement Directorate, have forced the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) to cancel bus services in Ramanagar district.
Protesters pelted stones at more than 15 buses in Ramanagar district, including Kanakpura and a bus was burnt in Chunchi colony in Kanakpura by an unruly mob. In Bengaluru, stones were pelted at a Dharmasthala-bound bus.
Security has been beefed up in Ramanagara and the administration has declared a holiday for schools and colleges in the district.
Majority of bus services between Bengaluru and Mysuru was also suspended by KSRTC.
Meanwhile, a Congress supporter tore off his shirt.
In a video posted by ANI, the Congress supporter is on the ground being handled by the police. Soon he starts crying while tearing off his shirt.
