Robbers loot ATM, escape with Rs 32 lakh

Mundgod: In a shocking incident, a group of men broke open an ATM here and escaped with escaped with lakhs of rupees.

Thieves apparently escaped with 32.11 lakh cash after barging into an SBI ATM here on Yellapur road in the early hours of Thursday.

It has been reported that the thieves knowing that the watchman was not around, arrived in a car barged into the ATM kiosk and broke open the machine with the help of a gas cutter and escaped with the booty.

Police are currently examining the footages from CCTV’s installed inside the kiosk and others to examine the case.

A case has been registered and further probe is on.
