Robbery using toy gun: Pandeshwar police arrest one suspect

Mangaluru: Pandeshwar Police have arrested a person in connection with a robbery case.

The accused was identified as Naufal alias Toppi Naufal (31), a resident of Bajal Nanthoor.

According to police, Naufal, along with his accomplice Puchcha, had abducted an acquaintance Majeed Syed at gunpoint using a toy pistol. The duo allegedly looted the car, Rs 18,000 in cash, and a mobile phone from him.

A case had been registered in this regard at the Pandeshwar Police Station.

Naufal, who was in police custody in another case at the Mangaluru Rural Police Station, reportedly confessed to the crime during police interrogation.

Meanwhile, Puchcha is still absconding.
