Punjalkatte: The rooftop of two classrooms of the Karnataka Public School here collapsed late on Friday night due to strong winds and rain.
The incident came to light on Saturday morning.
The Karnataka Public School had made a request to the authorities to demolish the old building.
PUC classes were held in the building but they had not been used since last year due to the roof’s degradation.
The incident has been brought to the notice of Belathangady town councillor Harish Poonja, who has been appealed for speedy demolition of the old building.
