Roopa took charge as state for traffic and road safety

Bengaluru: Roopa D took over as the deputy inspector general of police of the state for traffic and road safety on Tuesday.

Addressing the Press, Roopa said that she will obey the orders laid by the government. “In the police department, there are no good or bad departments. All are good. I don’t consider this transfer as punishment. It is a normal process and I have obeyed it,” she clarified.

Meanwhile, H S Revanna, has taken over her place and has been given additional charge of chief superintendent of Parappana Agrahara Jail.

H N Satyanarayana Rao, who has been transferred, handed over charge to newly appointed additional director general of prisons, N S Megharikh.
