Rowdy-sheeters Attack, Injure Woman PSI, Constable in Kalburgi

Kalburgi: A lady Police Sub Inspector (PSI) and a police constable injured in a clash with a group of rowdy-sheeters in an incident reported at Kalburgi town on Sunday. The rowdy-sheeters who attacked the police have been arrested soon after the incident.

The incident took place when Raghavendra Nagar police station lady PSI Akkamahadevi and her team tried to nab a group of rowdy-sheeters led by Chethan, Shiva Kumar and others near Kanni market in Kalburgi town on Sunday.

The police team had arrived near Kanni market on a tipoff and a complaint registered by two complainants against the gang inconnection with an assault on them on October 2.  The lady PSI and police constable, Prahalad Kulkarni are being treated at a private hospital in the town. Senior police officers have met the  injured cops at the hospital.
