Rs 100-200 hike in student bus pass fare

Bengaluru: Students availing bus passes will have to shell out more money with Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) revising its prices upwards for the coming academic year.

While the bus pass fare for primary students remains unchanged, high school students will have to pay Rs 100 more to avail the pass. Likewise, fares of bus pass for PUC students by Rs 150, for professional courses by Rs 250, for engineering students by Rs 240 and for evening college students by Rs 200.

No changes have been made in the concession given to SC and ST students.

The revised bus fare can be viewed on www.mybmtc.karnataka.gov.in along with the applications.
