Rs 100 Cr allocated for the rehabilation centres for Krishna river flood victims

Vijayapura: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Saturday said that the government is committed to implement the Upper Krishna Project and additional Rs 100 Crore will be allocated for the rehabilitation and resettlement works pertaining to the flood victims.

Speaking at a press conference held near the Alamatti Dam (Lal Bahadur Shashtri Sagar), Bommai said,” Earlier, Rs 197 Crore was released for the construction of rehabilitation centres for the flood victims. Now, additional Rs 100 crore will be released for the same.”

Also, several leaders including Basavanabagewadi MLA Shivanand Patil, Vijayapura District-in-charge Minister, Shashikala Jolle, Umesh Kathi, Minister of Mines, Murugesh Nirani and others participated in the ‘Bagina offering’ ritual near Alamatti dam.
