New Delhi: An allocation of Rs 343.74 has been approved for expanding the Mangaluru-Mudigere-Tumkur stretch of NH-73 in Karnataka, said the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Friday.

This project aims to upgrade the National Highway section to a two-lane road with paved shoulders.

Gadkari mentioned that the 10.8 km project would be executed using the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) mode.

Negotiating through challenging hilly areas, especially the Charmadi Ghat, the initiative is expected to significantly improve connectivity in the region.
