Rs 6.80 Crore worth drugs destroyed in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: In a major crackdown on drug-related crimes, the Mangaluru Police Commissionerate has destroyed narcotics worth Rs 6.80 crore.

Commissioner Anupam Agarwal stated that 88 cases were registered, and drugs related to 37 cases were incinerated at Re Sustainability Healthcare Solution Ltd in Kolnad Industrial Area in Mulki with court permission.

The destroyed substances included 335 kg 460 grams of marijuana valued at Rs 75,00,508, 7 kg 640 grams of MDMA worth Rs 6,03,65,050, and 16 grams of cocaine.

The Commissioner also revealed that, in 2024, 1,026 cases related to drug consumption were registered, and in 2025, 25 cases have already been recorded. He added that foreign nationals involved in drug trafficking are being arrested in phases.
