New Delhi: The RSS has defended BJP national President Amit Shah’s entrepreneur son Jay Shah on allegations that his company has benefitted after the party came to power.

The RSS demanded evidence to prove allegations against Jay Shah.

“If there are corruption allegations against anyone, they should be investigated. But there has to be prima facie evidence of wrong-doing,” said Dattatreya Hosabale, joint general secretary, RSS.

RSS even gave a clean chit to Shah, reiterating that loans that were obtained by his companies were transparent and repaid in full with interest.

The RSS’ statements backing Shah come a day after AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi attacked Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over allegations leveled against Jay Shah.

Gandhi said “The two beneficiaries of the business dealings of Amit Shah’s son Jay are Narendra Modi and Shah. Achche din aa gaye unke (good days have arrived for them).”
