The annual marathon – Run For A Cause is a CSR Initiative taken up by Atharva, TAPMI. It is a marathon of 4.8 km, open to the city of Manipal and Udupi.
The event is being sponsored by LIC along with New York Chicken, Urban Edge and Monster energy drink. Udayavani is the media partner.
The run is dedicated to the cause of making a difference in the lives of children from Academy Primary School, Manipal, a government-run school which provides education to more than 100 boys and girls. The school has been well known for providing quality education with their limited resources to the underprivileged sections of the society. A ticket just costs Rs.50. All the proceeds from the marathon will go towards the development of sanitation facilities and educational infrastructure in Academy Primary School Manipal.
