Sabarimala pilgrim from Puttur dies in Kozhikode

Puttur: A 39-year-old Sabarimala pilgrim died at a hospital in Kozhikode after he fell ill during the journey.

The deceased has been identified as Gangadhar, a native of Derla.

As per sources, the incident took place when Gangadhar was on the way to Sabarimala along with colleagues.

When they reached Pamba river to have a bath, Gangadhar had gone missing. His colleagues soon notified the police who handed over him to the group after finding him.

Gangadhar then fell ill and was admitted to a hospital where he later passed away.

He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
