PTI, Jul 1, 2024, 4:04 PM IST

Stating that safety of people and property is the top priority during floods, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday said effective coordination and swift action are essential for flood relief and rescue operations.

Adityanath said this while addressing a flood review meeting here.

The chief minister said the jal shakti minister and both the ministers of state should go to the field and inspect the arrangements.

The Chief Minister announced that fresh food would be provided at relief camps without compromising quality, and health teams would be established to care for both people and animals. Adityanath also mandated daily flood bulletins and strong coordination with central agencies, along with immediate compensation for farmers whose crops are damaged.
