Sagar woman tests negative for COVID-19, says DHO

Manipal/Shimoga: District health official Dr Rajesh Suragihalli has informed that the no one has been reported in the district so far.
Rajesh’s comment came a day after a false report of a woman being suspected of Coronavirus went viral on the social media platform.
“The woman had recently returned from Mecca was admitted to Manipal hospital after was suffered from breathing-related problems and cough. We had sent her blood sample to the laboratory in Shimoga,” Rajesh said.
He further added, “Today (Thursday, March 12) we got her result and it negative. Therefore it is confirmed that she is not infected with Coronavirus.”
