‎Sakleshpur:‎‎ In an exemplary deed, a man returned the cash and bank passbook found on the road to its rightful owner.

Laxman, who runs a tea shop, had found a bank passbook and Rs 5,000 cash fallen on the road near his tea shop on BM Road on June 23. The name Vasanth Kumar was mentioned on the passbook. As there was no phone number, he couldn’t contact the real owner. So he shared a photo of the bank passbook in hopes that the rightful owner might be traced.

Luckily, a man recognized the person mentioned in the passbook. He informed Vasanth Kumar’s son about the same.

It was later revealed that Vasanth Kumar, an elderly man, had accidentally dropped the document and cash.

‎Vasanth Kumar arrived at Laxman’s shop on Monday and received the lost items with gratitude. The public lauded the exemplary honesty shown by the tea seller.
