Dharwad: Samaj Parivarthan Samudaya chief S R Hiremath requested further action on Energy Minister D K Shivakumar’s ill-gotten wealth. A 198-page detailed letter has been written to Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely along with relevant documents seeking stern action against the minister.
Addressing the media on Friday, Hiremath stated that stated that the SPS and NCPNR had fought hard to dethrone mining baron Janardhan Reddy who had declared ‘Bellary Republic’ and the time has now come for Mr Shivakumar.
D K Shivakumar has gained a lot of wealth by setting up Kanakpura Republic. A high-level inquiry should be conducted against the Energy Minister,’ he said.
The government should constitute a special investigation team to probe against the allegations levelled on the minister.
Mr Shivakumar episode should be a lesson for the other politicians not to indulge in any anti-democratic activities.
