Sand scarcity: Udupi Zilla Lorry Owners’ Assn calls for indefinite strike

Udupi: The Udupi Zilla Lorry Owners’ Association has called for an indefinite lorry/tempo bandh from October 18, over the sand scarcity issue in Udupi district. The bandh will be voluntary and a peaceful one, they informed.
The association said that the district administration had failed to take steps to resolve the issue of scarcity of sand being faced by the common people and warned of intensifying its protest if the administration failed to solve the same.
