Mangaluru: Sandalwood actress Tara Anuradha visited Central Fish Market and campaigned for Dakshina Kannada BJP candidate, Nalin Kumar Kateel, on Thursday.
Addressing presspersons after interacting with the fisherwomen she said that she is conducting a statewide tour campaigning for BJP and came to Mangaluru to campaign for Nalin Kumar.
“Interacted with the fisherwomen in this market and discussed the problems they face,” she added.
She further added “they requested to construct a fish market instead of shifting them to other places. They said that the state government and their ministers are not responding to the problems.”
It is because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi a separate fishing ministry has been formed and this is a victory for fisherfolk. I am sure, in the upcoming elections, people will vote for Modi and it will be for the country’s betterment, she said.
“There are several achievements of Nalin Kumar Kateel. He is the number one MP of the state and 26th in the entire country,” she said when asked about candidate Dakshin Kannada’s candidate.
Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath, BJP spokesperson Sulochana Bhat, corporator Pooja Pai and others were present.
