Bengaluru: Sandawood actor Ragini Dwivedi was granted bail by the Supreme Court on Thursday, January 21.

A Supreme Court bench headed by Justice Nariman on Tuesday granted bail to Ragini Dwivedi in Sandalwood Drug Case.

Ragini was arrested by the Crime Branch in Bengaluru in September over allegations of links with an international drug cartel. She was charged under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

On November 3 the Karnataka High Court dismissed the bail applications filed by Kannada actors Ragini Dwivedi, and Sanjjanaa Galrani, and other co-accused who were arrested by the police allegedly for consuming and supplying drugs at parties and events, they organized. The actor had challenged a Karnataka High Court order rejecting bail.
