Yadagir: Kannada actor Sudeep conducted roadshows in the towns of Kakkera, Kodekal, Hunsagi and Surpur on Saturday campaigning for BJP candidate Narasimha Naik. He clarified that he was not in support of any political party and was campaigning for Mr. Naik only because of his friendship with him. “I will campaign for my close friends, who are contesting the elections, irrespective of the party they belong to,” he said.

Meanwhile, Congress candidate Raja Venkatappa Naik confidently told the press that Mr. Sudeep’s campaign will be of no effect on the voters since people are only concerned about development.
