Bengaluru: BJP worker Santhosh’s murder has sparked a verbal war between the two rival parties, BJP and Congress. The leaders from both the parties had a twitter ace-off on Thursday.
Union Minister D V Sadananda Gowda, alleged that Congress government was behind Santhosh’s murder because congress is always making efforts to withdraw communal cases against those belonging to Minority community.
He addressed five questions in his twitter face off with Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy. “What will you tell Santhosh’s parents? Will you tell them he was killed by innocents? When will your appeasement politics end? When will the bloodshed of Hindu youths end? If you do not answer now, people will give you a fitting reply in the polls,” he tweeted.
Reddy in response pointed out the deaths of several Hindu youths to BJP. He also announced to compensate Rs. 10 lakh to the family of Santhosh.
Reddy added that BJP leaders were directly involved in the deaths of Vijayapura’s Danamma, Mudigere’s Dhanyashri, Udupi’s Praveen Pujary, Bantwal’s Harish Pujary and others.
He also said that the decision of voting is left to the people as they are the ones who will decide whom to elect, the BJP or Congress. Reddy is positive of Siddaramaiah coming into power again and is confident that the government will take right actions against the murders.
Responding to the statement made by BJP leader R Ashoka’s that Reddy was spreading lie, the home minister said, “Does he speak only truth? Is he a descendant of Satya Harishchandra. A DNA test should be performed on him.”
