Mangaluru: Several women clad in saree were seen participating in a walk and run event organised by Mangaluru Women’s Run Troupe in association with Medimade Solutions, Lions Club, JCI Club, Inner wheel Club and other women’s clubs in Mannagudda on Sunday August 12th.

The event aimed to break the notion among people that tracksuits and shorts are the only attire for fitness exercise and make people realise that saree too can be incorporated in your fitness regime

Nearly 600 women participated in the walk and run despite the showers. A medical help and water counters were provided throughout the two kilometre stretch. Participants were handed certificates and medals.
