Bengaluru: AIDMK General Secretary and convict V K  Sasikala Natarajan was on Wednesday accused of bribing Karnataka Police to receive VIP treatment in the Bengaluru Central Prisons at Parappana Agrahara.

“Sasikala has bribed Rs one crore to H N Sathyanarayana Rao and another Rs one crore was distributed among officials, including warden of the central jail where she is serving four year sentence in an illegal wealth case.” Roopa Moudgil, Deputy Inspector of Prisons (DIG).

“As a reward for bribing the prison authorities from Rao to jail warden, Sasikala gets special menu daily, cooked by special chefs in a special kitchen near the women’s cell,” She added.

However, Rao refused and said that “Sasikala is a prisoner and she has not been receiving any kind of special treatments in the cell. Roopa has gone to the media and is making false and baseless allegations.”
