Satirical banner reminds CM “to drive slowly” in Sringeri for want of a hospital

Chikkamagaluru: A banner with a satirical message has come up in Sringeri to welcome Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai who is on a tour of the district on Tuesday.

The banner welcomes the CM to the district and kindly reminds him “to drive slowly, as this is a place without a hospital.”

The banner tries to grab the attention of the Chief Minister to the 15-year-long struggle of the region to get a well-equipped 100-bed hospital in Sringeri.

Despite repeated promises and assurances, successive governments have failed to construct a hospital at Sringeri. People have to travel hundreds of kilometers for quality healthcare.

Alluding to this fact the banner pleads the CM to move slowly on the streets “for his safety and for the safety of the people.”
