Saturday Lockdown under consideration for Bengaluru: Sudhakar

Chikkaballapur: Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar stated that the government is considering Saturday Lockdown along with the Sunday Lockdown in Bengaluru in view of the rising number of said.

He was speaking at the launch of a new 500-capacity RTPCR laboratory at the COVID-19 hospital here on Saturday.

Already lockdown is implemented on Sundays across the State. Similarly, there is a plan that the lockdown should also be implemented even on Saturdays suggested by experts the minister stated.

The RTPCR laboratory was equipped with sophisticated technology which would prevent the technician from being infected while working in the laboratory, the minister said about the newly inaugurated laboratory.

The minister also inaugurated various other development works nearby.
