Saudi road accident: Mother and child from Ullal killed

Ullal: A tragic road accident near Dammam, Saudi Arabia, claimed the lives of a mother and her young child from Ullal on Friday evening.

The victims were identified as Safa Fatima (30) and her two-and-a-half-year-old son, Layan.

The family was travelling from Madinah to visit Safa’s father’s home in Dammam. Safa, along with her husband Suhail (35), a native of Malappuram, and her brother Muhaviya (23), were in the car at the time of the accident. The crash occurred when Muhaviya, who was driving, reportedly fell asleep at the wheel.

Suhail, along with the couple’s other children, Abdul Malik (7), Abdul Rahman (6), and Ahmed (5), and Muhaviya, survived the accident with minor injuries.
