Shivamogga: Veteran BJP leader and former minister K S Eshwarappa has said that on Saturday, October 22, a programme under the title “Savarkar Samrajya” will be held at Science Ground at 5 PM.

Addressing the media he said, “The programme is jointly organized by organizations namely ‘Samagama’ and ‘Srigandha’ in memory of Veer Savarkar’s visit to Shivamogga in the year 1944”.

“While most of the people respect him, a few are still speaking ill about him. Some have not understood him correctly and are creating confusions in society. Ironically, to such people, some of the political parties are providing support. But Savarkar will always remain an inspiration”, he added.

Meanwhile, KSE informed that Savarkar’s grandson and nationalistic thinker Satyaki Savarkar will be attending the event.
