New Delhi/Bengaluru: The Supreme Court Collegium on Tuesday decided to elevate five judicial officers as judges of the Karnataka High Court.
The recommended judicial officers are Anil Bheemsen Katti, Gurusiddaiah Basavaraja, Chandrashekhar Mrutyunjaya Joshi, Umesh Manjunathbhat Adiga, and Talkad Girigowda Shivashankare Gowda.
As of July 1, 2022, the Karnataka High Court is functioning at a strength of 45 judges as opposed to the sanctioned strength of 62. Currently, there are 17 vacancies
