Schools, PUC in Udupi to remain shut on July 26: DC

Udupi: Deputy Commissioner has extended the school holiday to Wednesday as a precaution as the rains continue to batter the district.

All schools and PU colleges in the district shall remain closed on July 26, Udupi DC Dr K Vidyakumari ordered. Schools remained closed on Monday and Tuesday due to the prediction of heavy rains.

Meanwhile, IMD has predicted heavy rainfall to continue in the district. A Red alert has been issued.
