Schools reopen today; orange alert in DK

Mangaluru: Nearly a week after remaining closed, Anganwadis, schools and colleges in Dakshina Kannada reopened on Tuesday following a reduction in the rainfall in the region.
In the backdrop of the torrential rains and red alert issued in the district, schools and colleges had remained closed since August 6.
Sporadic rainfall has been predicted in the district on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the district administration has issued an orange alert in view of the weather forecast.
