Scooter hits and injures on duty traffic policeman

Mangaluru: An on duty traffic policeman dispersing his duties near the KSRTC bus stand junction in city was injured when a scooter hit him on September 20. The injured traffic police head constable is identified as Vasu Naik.
Apparently, Mr Naik was attempting to approach a car in order to move it to clear the traffic congestion when a scooted moving at break-neck speeds hit the head constable.
The injured head constable was admitted to a private hospital in city, however the rider managed to escape from the spot.
City west traffic police station has registered a case in this regard.
