SDM College Ujire B.Voc department holds ‘Acting Workshop’

Ujire: Actress Bindushri Rakshidi of ‘Paddayi’ fame called on the budding talents to learn with diligence and develop practical skills to achieve artistic excellence.
She was speaking as the Chief Guest at the inaugural function of the week-long ‘Acting Workshop’ organized by the B.Voc Digital Media – Filmmaking Department of SDM College at Siddhavana Gurukul of SDM College, Ujire.
Practical knowledge is essential for an artist. Constant effort and attention to minute details make the actors stronger. Not only that, theatre also promises to successfully tackle various aspects of life. It gives us the strength to move forward without being disturbed even in times of crisis, Bindushri opined.
Amateur artiste Subramanya G Bhat, in his address, said that cinema is much more than just acting. There are many avenues of learning in the fields of cinema and theatre. The workshops provide learning opportunities in these fields, he said, and invited students to grab these opportunities.
B.Voc Department Head Madhava Holla, Workshop Convenor Ashwini Jain, actor Naveen Sanehalli and students of the department were present on the occasion.
