Ullal: Amid the ongoing Hijab-Saffron shawl controversy, the banner war in Ullal has taken a new turn.

The SDPI have displayed a banner appreciating the Ullal Dargah committee’s decision to allow people from all communities to do business during the upcoming Ullal Uroos.

This banner has come up just weeks after Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal put up a banner stating that the people belonging to the Hindu religion should buy items from Hindus only during Nemotsava in Ullalbail.

The banner put up by the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) read, “Ullala Uroos Mubarak, Heartly congratulations to Ullal Dargah committee for allowing everyone to do business during Ullal Uroos irrespective of their caste, religion, and community.”
